In 1915, General tyre was founded in the United States. In 1963, GTIC established the Ghandhara Tyre & Rubber Company Limited in Karachi, Pakistan. The company began production in 1964 with a capacity of 120,000 tires per year. In 2021, the company was renamed as GTR. GTR is a producer of tyres for automobiles and motorcycles. They are known for their 4×4 tyres and offer a variety of summer and winter tyres for on- and off-road use.
